Costume Fun Encouraged at Fall Houston Movie Events Featuring 'Little Mermaid,' 'Super Mario Bros. Movie,' and 'Cinderella'

The current lineup of movies at the venue located at 1500 McKinney St. celebrates the diverse range of park visitors' ages, interests, and cultures. The movies being shown include family-friendly titles such as "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," "Cinderella," and "The Little Mermaid."

Guests are encouraged to attend the event in costumes. The announcement made on Tuesday advises attendees to bring their own blankets or camping chairs, along with snacks or a picnic. However, it emphasizes that alcohol and glass containers should be left at home. The Lake House offers options for purchasing food, beer, and wine.

"The Super Mario Bros. Movie" will be screened on Saturday, September 9th, at 7 pm. The animated film, based on the Super Mario video games, follows Mario and his friends as they embark on adventures. Their mission is to rescue Mario's brother Luigi and save the Mushroom Kingdom from the clutches of the villainous Bowser.

On Saturday, September 30th, at 7 pm, "Cinderella" will be shown. This modern musical adaptation of the classic tale features a determined orphan named Cinderella, who dreams of meeting Prince Robert. Despite the obstacles created by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, her Fairy Godmother intervenes to help her achieve her dream.

"The Little Mermaid" will be screened on Saturday, November 11th, at 7 pm. The movie, released in 2023, follows the story of Ariel, a mermaid princess curious about the human world. She makes a pact with the sea witch Ursula to gain legs in exchange for her voice, all in pursuit of exploring the human realm and reuniting with Eric, her love interest. Despite the concerns of her father King Triton, her friends Flounder and Sebastian continue to support her.

RSVP for these screenings is encouraged.
