10-Man Fulham's Palhinha Strike Forces Arsenal to Settle for Draw

Arsenal faced a 2-2 home draw against 10-man Fulham in a Premier League match, denying them provisional top spot in the league standings. The match was marked by twists and turns, with both teams showing their determination.

Fulham took an early lead just 57 seconds into the game when Andreas Pereira capitalized on a loose back pass from Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and struck a long-range shot past the goalkeeper from almost 30 meters.

However, Arsenal managed to turn the tide in the second half. Bukayo Saka, determined to make up for his earlier mistake, won a penalty after being tripped in the box by Kenny Tete. Saka stepped up and confidently converted the penalty, leveling the score.

Arsenal then took the lead just two minutes later when Fabio Vieira delivered a cross that substitute Eddie Nketiah fired into the net. Fulham's task became even more difficult when Calvin Bassey received a second yellow card and was sent off in the 83rd minute.

Despite being down to 10 men, Fulham managed to secure a late equalizer. João Palhinha scored from a corner in the 87th minute, ensuring that Fulham earned a point from the match.

The draw places Arsenal in the second position in the league standings with seven points, trailing their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur by goal difference. Fulham's fighting spirit earned them a valuable point against tough opposition, and they showcased their determination even when reduced to 10 men.
